I'm back!

36 weeks prego! At my classroom baby shower.....
I don't know if anyone even reads this but I am keeping it for my own records and hopefully to share with Ella someday. I can't believe I am 36 weeks along in my pregnancy and haven't written anything on this blog about it! I have been keeping a pregnancy journal but it is more fun to write about what is happening when other people can read it! I feel like lately the ONLY thing we think, talk, and dream about is our baby girl, Ella. When will she be here, what will she look like, will she be a good baby, how will our life change, will we be good parents...the list goes on and on and on. I do know that we are SO excited for her to make her debut and we can't wait to bring our little princess into our home and spoil her with love and kisses and lots of snuggles. I can't wait!!! But for now I am in the absolute home stretch of this pregnancy and am SO ready for her to come out so I can be comfortable someday again.....

At 36 weeks:
* I have gained almost 35 pounds! Yikes. It is better than I thought I would do but still to pack on the pounds and watch that scale creep up every week is hard! When all is said and done, I will probably have gained about 40 lbs.
* People are so sweet while I am out and about. Everyone asks when I am due and opens doors for me and carries my groceries and helps me out to my car. I even got to go to the front of the line at Target the other day!
* I am not sleeping very well at all. I get up about 3 or 4 times during the night to pee. Lately, David has to literally push me out of bed because my pelvic area gets so stiff that it is hard to turn over and get up.
* I love love love crunching on ice. I could care less about food right now and all I want is ice. It is because I am anemic and it is also so refreshing and so cold. Something about the crunch is addicting. I have driven to Starbucks at random hours to get cups of ice and we have bought several bags of the 8 lb party bags of ice and they are gone!
* I have had some pretty nasty symptoms too--but for documentation reasons I will list them. Heartburn like you wouldn't believe. Never experienced it before in my life but all I can say is thank goodness for TUMS! Terrible constipation. Like won't go to the bathroom for days and then when I finally do I get hemmroids. And those my friends, are not something you want to deal with. I take lots of baths in Epsom Salt to try and cure the pain. Sorry for the 411, but these are things people don't tell you about being pregnant so I am here to share! :)
* I am about to start my last week of work this week. I cut back on my hours due to swelling and high B.P. but this week will officially be my last week of work. I have worked full time for over 10 years and seriously don't know what I am going to do with myself. Probably miss it for a day or two and then be just fine resting and relaxing and pampering myself before Ella arrives.
* Ella is a very active baby and is constantly moving. This has for sure been my favorite thing about being pregnant. I love feeling her move and kick and her little hiccups. I already feel so attached to her. If she hasn't moved in a while I will tap on my belly or talk to her, and I seriously die when she taps back or gives me a little kick. Cutest thing ever.
* I have been in full on nesting mode. Feeling the need to get everything in its place and order. We were SO incredible blessed with FOUR showers and got WAY more than everything we will ever need. We truly have the best friends, family, and co-workers! It has been a challenge to find where to store it all and get it in it's place!
* No other really weird things at 36 weeks other than the fact that I am SUPER uncomfortable all the time and need to sit down a lot. I don't have the energy I used to have and am getting used to spending a lot of down time at home.
* Oh and just today we got the carseat ready and packed the bags for the hospital!! Were ready when you are baby!!!
